Washington, D.C.  – Late Tuesday evening, the House of Representatives passed the 2016 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Bill by a vote of 216-210. Included in the bill was a narrowly-tailored exemption to allow the Kansas Legislature to modify its truck length laws for hauling custom harvesting equipment, similar to one afforded to Nebraska in 2005.

Washington, DC – This afternoon, Representative Kevin Yoder  voted in favor of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, which the House of Representatives passed by a vote of 400-25. The bill would prevent the president from unilaterally lifting sanctions on Iran if Congress votes to disapprove a final nuclear deal with Iran.

Washington, DC – Moments ago, Representative Kevin Yoder voted in favor of the Pain Capable Unborn Child Act, which the House of Representatives passed by a vote of 242-184. The bill prohibits abortions after a pregnancy has reached five months, with exceptions for rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is at stake.
