Representative Yoder Receives NFIB “Guardian of Small Business” Recognition
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Yoder today was recognized by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy association, as a “Guardian of Small Business,” an award given to Members of Congress for their votes on key legislation supporting U.S. small businesses. The Guardian award is given to legislators who vote favorably on key small business legislation at least 70 percent of the time. Congressman Yoder received a rating score of 100 percent for his votes in support of free enterprise during the 112th Congress.
“Receiving this recognition from the NFIB is a tremendous honor. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. Supporting legislation that enables these small business owners to succeed is one of my top priorities as the 3rd District’s Representative in Congress,” Congressman Yoder stated. “I appreciate the NFIB’s interest in providing assistance to small businesses. Successful small businesses lead to job growth and a stronger economy.”
“The Guardian award is a symbol of sincere appreciation from the small-business community for supporting theirability to own, operate and grow their businesses,” said Dan Danner, President and CEO of NFIB. “We thank Representative Yoder for his work in the 112th Congress on behalf of small businesses across the country.”
