Yoder Announces U.S. Service Academy Nominations

Overland Park, KS – Congressman Kevin Yoder (KS-3) announced today that he has nominated the following students to a military academy for the class entering the fall of 2015.

The 3rd Congressional District’s Academy Nomination Board, appointed by Congressman Yoder, conducted interviews with the applicants and reviewed their applications and test scores.  Twenty-two students were recommended for nomination.  Now nominated by Congressman Yoder, the applicants must meet the requirements of each U.S. Service Academy.  The Academies make the final decision on who receives an appointment of admission.  

“It is an honor to announce the nominations of the following outstanding Kansans from the 3rd Congressional District to a United States Service Academy,” Rep. Yoder said. “The caliber of these nominees is very impressive; our district will be very well represented. These young men and women are our future and I wish them well as they seek an appointment to a U.S. Service Academy.”
